2025 WRC opens in Beijing E-Town
The 2025 World Robot Conference (WRC) is being held at the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (Beijing E-Town) from August 8 to 12.
Themed "Making Robots Smarter, Making Embodied Agents More Intelligent", 28 international organizations have participated in the event, setting a new record for the highest number of international institutions involved.
The conference includes an opening ceremony, forums, exhibitions, competitions, concurrent activities, and a closing ceremony.
Over 400 top scientists, international organization representatives, academicians, and entrepreneurs from both domestic and international backgrounds have focused on cutting-edge technologies, industry trends, practical applications, as well as innovative achievements in the robotics industry. They have exchanged and shared their insights through keynote speeches, high-level dialogues, physical demonstrations, and various other forms of engagement.
In addition, the exhibitions of the 2025 WRC feature over 1,500 exhibits from more than 200 outstanding robotics companies from both domestic and international markets, with over 100 of them being newly launched products. Dozens of humanoid robot companies showcase their latest products and industry solutions, setting a record for the highest number of humanoid robot companies participating in a similar exhibition.
During this year's WRC, Beijing E-Town has concurrently hosted the "E-Town robot consumer festival". This event targets enterprise end-users, offline consumers and online shoppers, offering a range of services such as robot shopping experiences, unique dining options, cultural and creative products, and interactive activities. By organizing the robot consumer festival, Beijing E-Town aims to create a distinctive robot consumer IP with characteristics unique to the local area, stimulating a dual flow of energy between enterprises and consumers, and achieving a dual enhancement in the event's influence and consumer conversion.
Over the past decade, the WRC has evolved into a premier event in the global robotics industry, known for its roles as an innovation-leader, industry-promoter, application-facilitator, and international collaborator. It has propelled advancements in robotics across four key areas of technological innovation, industrial development, application scenarios, and international collaboration, achieving significant breakthroughs in each of these domains.
As the permanent venue for the WRC, Beijing E-Town has already attracted over 300 robotics and intelligent manufacturing ecosystem companies, with the robotics industry chain exceeding a scale of over 10 billion yuan ($1.39 billion).
