Mallards on Qingshui Lake

A group of mallards have arrived at the Qingshui Lake in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (Beijing E-Town) in time for spring.

The mallards sometimes skimmed across the crystal-clear ice, creating splashes like scattered pieces of jade; sometimes soared high with their emerald green wings shining brightly in the sunlight. According to the latest biodiversity data released, as of 2024, the number of bird species observed in E-Town has increased to 321, a significant growth that fully demonstrates the positive results achieved by the area in ecological environment protection.
