The Jidu Research and Development Testing Base was recently launched in Beijing E-Town.

Jidu Auto CEO Xia Yiping said," The establishment of the Jidu Research and Development Testing Base in Beijing E-Town will play an important role in accelerating the development and testing of Jidu's intelligent driving functions such as intelligent driving and intelligent cockpit, and promote the comprehensive testing of its intelligent driving functions."

After the base is put into operation, Jidu Auto will rely on the intelligent networked automotive industry ecology and policy advantages of Beijing E-Town. It will give full play to the driving force of technological innovation, accelerate product research and development, market application testing, and accelerate industrial layout, Xia added.

For now, Jidu Auto has taken the lead in applying Baidu ANP3.0 driving assistance system capabilities and they jointly developed the Jidu high-level intelligent driving system. 

Meanwhile, Jidu Auto has launched high-level intelligent driving scene generalization tests in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, realizing the three-domain integration of high-level intelligent driving on highways, urban roads, and parking lots. The establishment of the research and development testing base will further promote the generalization testing process of Jidu Auto's intelligent driving functions.

The opening of the Jidu research and development testing base also represents the continuous development of Beijing E-Town's intelligent automobile industry. 

In recent years, Robotaxi, unmanned retail and delivery vehicles have realized commercial operations in Beijing E-Town.
