With the Beijing Integrated Circuit Supply Chain and the Leading Technology Industry Innovation Center being officially selected as the Beijing technology innovation center, the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area (BDA) now has 24 technology innovation centers.

This March, the construction of the Beijing Integrated Circuit Supply Chain and the Leading Technology Industry Innovation Center project was officially launched. 

According to the main business directions, four main business departments and corresponding departments have been established; they include industrial chain verification, technical development and cooperation, technical services, alliances and industrial chain construction. 

The center can also provide integrated circuit companies with services such as industrial chain verification and new process research and development.

To optimize cutting-edge industries, the BDA continues to create an innovation ecosystem and to promote the development of innovative entities. Meanwhile, the area will also spare no efforts in strengthening the construction of technological innovation centers, creating scenarios and gathering talents.

Counting the achievements of scientific and technological innovation in the BDA in 2020, new technologies and new products mainly come from high-end industries such as semiconductors, new displays, micro-electromechanical systems, original innovative drugs, genetic technology, terahertz technology, and robotics.

Currently, there are 24 technological innovation centers in the BDA, including two national innovation centers, three Beijing innovation centers, and 19 district-level innovation centers. 

In 2020, the innovation center's R&D achievements included 109 new technologies and 115 new products, among which 11 are internationally leading and filling international gaps.
